We don’t get much Sun here in the UK so whenever it turns up we just don’t know how to act. Here are some things you could do to make the most of it whilst feeding the left side of your brain.
Especially a must for those of us not leaving the country this year. Grab your friends and if none of you drive (or no one wants to), turn it into a coach trip. Just pick somewhere with a beach, nice views and activities, pack your weekend bags, and off you go.
City Scavenger Hunt
Super fun to do with a group but it can work with even 2 of you. One person/group hides items or clues all over the city and the others have to follow until they reach the final destination. Be creative with the locations but try not to get too lost and don’t forget your camera!
Watch The Sunrise
For the early birds.
Watch The Sun Set
For the night owls.
Food trucks/Pop ups
Since we can’t leave food out of our plans but are tired of going to restaurants. Food trucks tend to have a home cooked feel to the so I would say remember to try as many new things as you can.
Learn To Make Cocktails
There are cocktail making classes out there (fun date idea btw thank me later), but you don’t have to go to one for this. Just pick some of your favourite cocktails and find the ingredients and step by step online or just freestyle. There is going to be a lot of taste testing #drinkresponsibly.
Watch An Outdoor Performance
This could be anything from some poetry to dancing. There are usually a number of these held by your council so keep an eye out for anything going on in your area. Also stay updated with ERIC Mag because we’ll be letting you know what’s going on too okurrrr.
ERIC Tip - Being cultured, exploring and learning new things makes you more interesting. The creative world is all about being personable and being able to build relationships based on experiences and interests so stop sitting inside and you never know what you'll see or who you might meet.
