JOBS FOR THE FUTURE

If the creative industries keep growing at the same pace, they could create 900,000 new creative industries jobs by 2030. That’s an expanding area to invest in, if ever I heard one.

IT’S GROWING FASTER THAN ANY OTHER SECTOR

Between 2010 and 2017, gross value added (GVA) rose by 53.1% in the creative industries - much faster than the 29.7% increase in the economy as a whole during the same period. Money money money!

HELPING THE ECONOMY

Between 2010 to 2016, creative industries have grown in every region of the UK. Scots and Northerners are getting extra creative as the creative industries in the North East and Scotland grew by a hefty 47%.

EVERYONE WILL WANT TO WORK THERE

The number of people from BAME backgrounds in the creative industries increased by 14.9% between 2015 and 2016 - two and a half times greater than that of the UK workforce.
