Summer’s nearly over, but don’t worry, we have the coolest and best events that you have to check out this month! Without further ado, let’s get to it...

1. London Tattoo Convention

Whether you sport your own tattoo sleeve or just a fan of art, the London Tattoo Convention will be far from boring. With live performances, interviews and global tattoo artists, you can’t miss out on this one!

When? 28th -30th September

2. PROPER Creative Sessions: Life Drawing

Now, for the more mellow creative, PROPERCORN are hosting a life drawing session led by the incredible artist Bella Franks. Not only does this event promise to be a lot of fun, rumour has it that there’s free popcorn there too...

When? 19th September

3. Lovefest LDN18

If you’re in the mood for a bit of lurrrrve, this event is perfect for you! They explore the concept that everyone’s perception of love is different and they use different mediums (such as photography, animation and comedy) to do so.

When? 3rd- 9th September

4. Go! Organic Festival

Food glorious food! Okay, but seriously, who can say no to a festival dedicated to eating and good food? And it doesn’t end there! There’s also live music, beer and a tea garden. Not to mention that you’re kind of helping the planet too so that basically means you’re really awesome.

When? 8th-9th September

5. London Art Book Fair

Reading can be so much fun, and I don’t think there’s anything quite as rewarding as getting your nose stuck (not literally, thank god) into a good book. There are publisher-led seminars and workshops too, so if you want to get into reading this is the perfect place to start.

When? 6th-9th September

6. ‘Videogames’

No, I’m not telling you to sit on your Xbox and play video games this month. I’m telling you to sit on an Xbox in the V&A and play video games! This new exciting exhibition opens this month and explores the themes: design, disrupt and play. Want to know more? Well, I guess you’ll just have to check it out yourself...

When? 8th September (opening)

7. Hackney Carnival

If all of these events have been too tame for you and you want to go out and dance, then I have the solution for you. Dance your way over to the Hackney Carnival. Get ready for some funky costumes, live music and a lot –and I mean a lot- of dancing. Also, this year there’ll be the first ever QTIPOC (queer, trans and intersex people of colour) stage at the Hackney Carnival. Woo!

When? 9th September

8. LIVE: Creativity & Confidence

Do you ever feel like your creative work just isn’t good enough? Or maybe, you’ve made some great art before and now you just can’t seem to get back into that creative flow? Well this workshop is a great one. Not only will this workshop help build you back up, but LIVE are trying to break down this misconception that you’re either born a creative or not. You can nurture your art, baby!

When? 8th September

9. Michael Jackson: On the Wall

Whether you’re a Michael Jackson fan or nah, this exhibition is a real gem. Don’t believe me? Well, they have a whole room dedicated to a bunch of German people dancing and singing to Michael’s famous tunes, so if that doesn’t sell it to you, I don’t know what will. The exhibition also boasts some of the most influential artwork on race, stardom and Michael’s impact on his fans and people around him. Truly a must see! PS: You can get discounted tickets if you’re a student, win win.

When? Until 21st October

10. Creative Storytelling: How to create and to tell and good story

Everyone loves a good storyteller, and if you want to become one this event will work wonders for you. Storytelling is an art and the prestigious Dimitar Uzunov will be sharing some of his tips and tricks with you. So, come along, what have you got to lose?

When? 24th September
