Despite being one of the most sought after industries in the job world, the creative field is known for its low pay rates. It's 2018 now and this needs to change as everyone is just trying to get their coin, doing something that they love. Here are 5 creative jobs with a starting salary of over 30k according to payscale.com. Grab a pen and take some notes!

1. Google was once on sale for $750, 000

Google's current value stands at over $360 billion, however, during the boom of the dot-com period, Google was offered to Excite, a hugely popular search engine at the time, for $750, 000. At the time, Excite's CEO George Bell thought it was overvalued and refused. Can you imagine how much he regrets his decision now?

2. Kodak decided against launching the first digital camera

Kodak, famous for its disposable cameras, created the world's first digital camera but decided against launching it as they thought it would impact their existing business. Now, digital cameras at the forefront of camera technology, and Kodak sadly, has gone into bankruptcy.

3. The 2018 film, Unsane, was shot entirely on an iPhone 7 Plus

It's been a long time since the release of the Blair Watch Project, which was shot in 1999 on a 16mm camera. Today, most horror movies are produced with top-of-the-range cameras, but Steven Soderbergh, director of Unsane (2018) shot the entire film entirely on an iPhone 7 Plus. The film went on to have its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival.

4. Andy Warhol inspired the Christian Louboutin red sole

The fashion industry's most famous shoe designer, Christian Louboutin, was lacking inspiration when he came across Andy Warhol's Flowers. After assessing the painting, he grabbed his assistant's red nail polish, lacquered the shoe's sole and the rest, as they say, was history. We hope the assistant got a pay rise!

5. Clash of Clans, the gaming app, has made over $4 billion Into your gaming?

There's money to be paid in it! By May 2018, Candy Crush had been downloaded more than 280 million times, and Clash of Clans had raked in over $4 billion during that same time. There's never been a better time to consider a role in gaming!
