Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, and sometimes a jacket is worth million “go-fuck-yourself”s, and if you’ve seen the jacket the First Lady wore to visit an infant detention centre in Texas, you’ll know what I mean.

On top of the sentiment being so tone deaf that at first I thought it was a Reductress article, the jacket comes from Zara, which has a long rich history of ripping off independent designers. With that in mind I wanted to share some independent designers who are creating fashion that actually does good in the world, because we need some right now.
