Some of us may be born with the natural talent to draw, sing, dance and act but if like me, you aren't this quadruple threat from the get go don't be disheartened. For all you have to do is make your new favourite word  'training' and before you know it you could be a creative genius too!

See below for some academies and training sources which may help you progress to the next level:

1. The Roundhouse

Although I wish they'd bump up their age restrictions just a little bit, this place acts a creative haven. Under 25's are given opportunities to take part, to create and to learn about a extensive range of creative backgrounds. From music and poetry to circus performance and DJ masterclasses. This venue is definitely one to check out.

2. CC skillset

Offering advice and assistance for those aiming for a creative career. From online Q&A panels to an advice and opportunities section. To say that they are very career oriented would be an understatement.

3. Go Think Big

Another really useful source for creatives and any young person in general searching for career prospects. They frequently advertise work experience and internship opportunities on their site. They can also offer a range of workshops. I've attended and enjoyed several to date. Some examples include: How to get into radio, how to deal with stress and how to vlog. Bookmark their site! They update content daily so don't miss out.

4. University

Perhaps the creative career for you is one which requires a route into traditional study. There you may find the resources and contacts to push yourself further. Perhaps you could speak to a career's guide at school or local area to ask if higher education is the best way to the career of your choice.

5. Online courses

If university isn't accessible or isn't within budget then maybe an online course will help train you and grant you the skills necessary for career progression. For example The Open University offer free courses here.

Don't sit back and let your dream job pass you by, go after it or you'll have regrets! I hope The list above offers you support in your next steps.
